A forum for the presentation of the latest research results and academic exchange
Annual Scientific Conference
The Laser Society of Japan (LSSJ) holds its annual conference in January every year, where the latest research results are presented and academic exchange takes place. Each chapter is in charge of organizing the conference. An exhibition, Laser Solutions, will be held at the same time. We welcome your active participation in the conference, including presentations, information gathering and exchange, symposium planning and proposal implementation, and corporate advertisement presentations by supporting members.
The 41st Annual Meeting was held online from January 18 (Mon.) to 20 (Wed.), 2021. Thank you very much for your participation.

OPIC & OPIE（Laser EXPO)
The OPIC (Optics and Photonics Interanational Congress) is Japan’s leading international conference on optics-related science and technology, and the OPIE (Optics and Photonics Interanational Exhibition) is an international exhibition of optics-related industries. OPIE (Optics and Photonics Interanational Exhibition) is an international exhibition of optics-related industries, and is held simultaneously in Yokohama every spring.
The Laser Society of Japan is involved in the management of OPIC as a member of the OPI Council, the organizer of OPIC, and also organizes specialized conferences such as ALPS (Advanced Laser and Photonics Sources). We are also organizing Laser EXPO as an exhibition. We welcome the active participation of our members.

The spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)

In response to the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), a state of emergency was declared in some areas on April 7 and extended to the entire country on April 16.
On May 4, the state of emergency was extended to May 31.
The Laser Society of Japan took this opportunity to review the form of services provided by the society and established guidelines for holding events in order to provide new opportunities for flexible activities that are not restricted by location or time.
